Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the third game in the series. It contains 35 playable characters (with 39 unique movesets in total), 41 stages, over 300 different songs (that's over a gigabyte of music in the game) and is the first Wii game to make use of a dual-layer disc. Brawl also has online capabilities, meaning anyone at all can join the competitive scene.

Brawl also includes a stage builder, a surprisingly satisfying single-player adventure mode, over 500 trophies and about the same amount of stickers, an arcade-style coin launcher, Wifi spectating and betting, a replay function, and a huge amount of other extra content.

• Super Smash Bros. Melee was released on 3rd December in North America, just as Brawl was initially scheduled to be released.
